People are basically Kind

1 year anniversary of this life changing experience.
 Thank you...People are basically kind.
I looked into the eyes of the man that reached into our cab and ripped my travel wallet from my body.  The police asked me to identify him.  I could see his fear and foremost the light within him.
The incident took place 5 minutes from our hostel.  Scores of people, our taxi driver and the police ran after him and caught him.  Dan from Community hostal (www.communityhostel.com) came on the 7 hour journey of 3 different police stations.
Countless numbers of people came to the station in search for support.  An elderly woman entered that had been beaten by four men. Dan translated as we gathered her friends around her. We held her in loving arms as she remembered her breath.  She found some peace and became strong once again.
We never know what life is going to bring us. Today I hold the vision that my passport, iphone, and credit cards find their way back to me.  And the money is used to help someone in need.

At this moment I rest and enjoy the splendor of Ecuador.  I KNOW one thing for sure… people are basically kind!
